The Rev. Christine Stoxen, Senior Pastor
Christine was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Connecticut, graduating from high school in Avon, Connecticut. She graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, with a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education. She received her Masters of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, in 2000. Christine serves on the board of the Campus Ministry at the University of South Carolina, Advisory Board to the Rice Home, and on the CROP Walk Board. She is married to Craig Stoxen, the director of the South Carolina Autism Society. They have two sons, Zachary and Nicholas.

Wade Roof, Intern
Wade was born and raised in West Columbia, SC. He attended and graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School where he lettered in varisty baseball for four years. He attended Newberry College on a full baseball scholarship. Upon graduation in 2003, with a degree in Psychology, Wade worked for their family owned business for two years before applying to the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Wade has just finished his second year at the seminary. Wade and Irina was married in June and resides in West Columbia, SC.

Lynn Bookert, Office Manager
Lynn is a life long resident of Columbia. She attended and graduated from a local high school and attended Midlands Technical College.
She and her husband lives in the Northeast with their three children and 2 year old granddaughter. Lynn has been an Office Manager/ Business Manager and Wedding & Event Planner/Director for over 16 years. She serves as the Special Events Coordinator and Wedding Director for her church in North Columbia. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 4 sisters, event planning, interior decorating, shopping and crossword puzzles.

Robin Shealy McMillin, 10:45 Organist
Robin Shealy McMillin is a life-long SC resident having grown up in Lexington, SC. She and her husband Don reside in Northeast Columbia . Robin is a graduate of Winthrop University with a BA degree; having majored in Communications and minored in Piano Performance. Robin has served LSLC in a number of capacities since becoming a member in 1993. She is presently the organist for the 10:45am Sunday Worship Service. Robin is also a Manager of Business Consulting within the Information Systems Division at BlueCross and BlueShield of SC. Robin serves on the Board for the Lowman Home of White Rock, SC.

Elizabeth Lucas, 8:15 Organist
At the age of fourteen Elizabeth began playing the organ for her church. Her precollege training was in the precollege department of Columbia College. While a college student she studied music at Winthrop College and the University of South Carolina. She has been an organist at Living Springs for six years and three years ago formed a choir for the 8:15 service. Currently Elizabeth is substituting as organist and/or choir director at area churches as needed and is a musician for nursing home facilities. She has written and performed musical dramas in church settings. Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is a member of the Association of Lutheran Musicians of South Carolina and the Choristers Guild.

Laura Turnmire, Bell Choir Director
Laura was born in Pasadena, Texas and came to Columbia by way of Springfield, Ohio. She is a graduate of Wright State University with a BS degree in Accounting and Finance. She is currently attending Columbia College, working on a BA in Elementary Education. Laura became a member of Living Springs in 1989 and has served on the Council, Worship, Christian Ed, Finance, Evangelism and Social Inreach Committees. She is presently on the Worship Committee and has been the Handbell Director for over 10 years.
Laura has worked at BlueCross BlueShield of SC for 20 years. She is a Contracts/Budget Analyst for the Information Systems Division. She is married to Bob Turnmire, IS Manager for the State Budget and Control Board. They have a daughter, Audrey and a son, Evan.

Irina Roof, 5:05 Music Director, Chancel Choir Director, Children's Choir Director
Irina is originally from Volgograd, Russia and came to the US as an exchange student in high school. She lived in Greenville, SC where she became a Christian and heard God's call for music ministry. She attended Newberry College on a full music scholarship and graduated with a BA in music performance (piano) on May, 2005. She was very active in the college community. After graduation, she began graduate school at the University of South Carolina where she is currently obtaining a PhD in Inorganic Chemisrty.
She started working as a choir dicrector at St. Philips Lutheran Church in Newberry while in college and continued working there up until June this year. Irina and Wade were married in June this year and reside in West Columbia.

Sherry Forsgren, Bookeeper
My name is Sherry Forsgren. I have been in the accounting field over 36 years. I retired as the Accountant for the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District in Monterey, California after 16 years. I worked for a CPA firm before that and had my own bookkeeping and income tax practice out of my home from 1980 until 2005. My son and his family had moved here in August of 2001 and after making numerous trips from California to here to see my son and grandchildren, my husband asked me if I was ready to move here and I said YES!!! We sold our home in California and moved here in January 2005. We love it here and I love being close to my family. I volunteer at Lake Carolina Elementary two days a week and I am the secretary/popcorn chairman for my grandson's cub scout pack.

Tammy Mancuso, Director of the Preschool and Afterschool Care
Hello,my name is Tammy Macuso and I am proud to be the director here a Living Springs Lutheran Church Preschool and ASC. I have been in the child development field for over 17 years working in a variety of settings and roles. I graduated in 1991, with a Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Hartnell College in California. My husband, Robert and I have three wonderful children, ages 12, 10 and 8. We have lived in Columbia for four years and we have enjoyed every moment here. We enjoy reading Harry Potter and are huge Disney fans! I also have a passion and love for gardening. I am very honored to be the director at LSLCP/ASC and welcome you to come by and visit us at any time.
