Confirmation
The core of Confirmation Education is a two and a quarter year program, beginning in the 7th grade and taught every Sunday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in the Administrative Building, Katie Room. In addition, students participate in service projects, worship, and weekend retreats
Instructional materials come from Augsburg Fortress, "Here We Stand" Confirmation program. The program teaches core, traditional Lutheran principles and doctrine, as well as in-depth studies of Old and New Testament, Baptism, Ten Commandments, Lord's Prayer, and Holy Communion. Experiences in music, movies, science, and other activities deepen the learning and incorporate life application lessons for today's youth. To learn more about the curriculum visit www.herewestandconfirmation.org. This year, students will be studying the New Testament. They will also study the Lord's Prayer, Baptism and Communion. We give thanks to our faithful teachers: Mike Davidson, Jan Berger, Bob & Laura Turnmire, and Pastor Chris Stoxen.
A Confirmation Ministry Orientation for students and their parents will be held in the Sanctuary on August 29, 2010 at 9:30am. Students begin class on September 5, 2010. To learn more about this important ministry, please contact Jan Berger, Confirmation Director, at .
The following retreats are scheduled this year:

This Fall (date to be determined) students will choose a service project and volunteer their time within the community.

The Spring Retreat is a weekend event at Camp Kinard for the entire class held March 18-20, 2011.

Campfirmation is a week long summer camp event for youth who attend between their first and second years of confirmation study. Campfirmation is held at Camp Lutherock, June 13-17, 2011.
The following students will complete their final quarter of confirmation study and affirm their Baptism on October 31, 2010. We give thanks to God and pray for the Confirmation Class of 2010 and their families:
