Children's Sunday School
The Children’s Akaloo Sunday School Program moves beyond Sunday programming by connecting church and home and providing web-based resources within five units of discipleship. The curriculum content is group graded with five group classes offered to children age 2 - grade 6. Each age/grade level has its own kid-friendly, vividly illustrated learner handbook and everyone is united behind a single theme: “We are called to follow Jesus.”
What Does “Akaloo in Action” look like?
- Children gather as a large group for opening song & prayer.
- All children explore a lesson from the same unit.
- Once in age-level groups, children explore the message in their Bibles or handbooks and experience one or two multi-sensory experiences to help deepen the learning.
- Each class has five specific goals to work toward throughout the year.
- Between units the children come together to celebrate and demonstrate what they have learned and to kick-off the new unit.
September through May, classes are held in the lower level of the administration building every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Please register your child. To learn more visit www.akaloo.org
