Entering Confirmation Milestone
Entering confirmation is a wonderful time to reaffirm the importance of nurturing faith in the home and recommit to doing that. In this milestone we educate our youth and adults upon what will be taught over the two year period and discuss the importance of this commitment through participation and attendance in all confirmation events.
Through the waters of our baptisms, we promised "to place in our child's hands the Holy scriptures and to provide for our children's instruction in the Christian faith" (ELW). So it is through this milestone where we fulfill these baptismal promises, through the visual gift of a NRSV Student Bible and Luther's Small Catechism.
