11th Sunday after Pentecost 8/8/21

I am excited because this Sunday, we continue to learn about the “Bread of Life” and how eating this bread gives us eternal life. That is right; Jesus said that the bread He gives for the life of the world is his flesh, and whoever eats this bread has eternal life and will be raised on the last day. Wow, that is what I am talking about, the bread of eternal life Y’ALL!!!  So, I am looking forward to worshiping with Y’ALL this Sunday, so come on out and bring a friend or two and let’s praise God for all that God has done…

At LS, we continue our Summer Hope focus, with special 5-minute pre-worship Prayer Times to be still & know that God is God amidst all life’s storms.  At 8:10 & 10:25, it is also possible to have the pastor offer special prayer with you in the pews, should there be a particular burden on your heart.  At 8:15, worship is in the sanctuary.  At 10:30, worship how you choose – in the sanctuary, from the parking lot, on the lawn, or online.  For those out-of-town or vacationing, please continue to spread the word about our 10:30 Livestream on Facebook & YouTube!

Our youth at LS are exciting to be around. I was excited to be with our older youth sixth -Twelveth grade on our Annual Youth Mission Retreat this past weekend. It was indeed a blessing to see them talk about being formed and grounded in God’s Hope, talking about the right tools to help with Hoping/Coping skills, and leaving on last Sunday being fully equipped to be Active Hope Agents in their daily lives. Please keep them in your prayers as school gets ready to start soon. Pray that they stay protected, safe, and have a meaningful experience this school year, bringing Hope wherever the Spirit leads…
