Women of the Evangelical Church in America

The mission of the Women of the ELCA is to mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.

Their purpose statement is:

As a community of women created in the image of God,

called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit,

We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts,

support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and

promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.

We meet monthly as scheduled in the bulletin and Newsletter. We would love for all women to join with us.

Our goals include:

Working with the Christian Education Ministry, oversee a Library Committee
Encourage women to visit ad help the Social Outreach Ministry at nursing homes
Cookbook Project
Two Teacher appreciation lunches for the pre-school staff
Giving Tree Project in December
Annual Women’s Service in February
Scholarship for women at Living Springs who is pursuing higher education. ($250.00)
