Youth

Youth Ministry is a vibrant and growing year round program at Living Springs thanks to committed youth, enthusiastic advisors and interested and caring parents. We seek to provide opportunities for out youth to develop faith, enjoy fellowship and participate in service to the greater community. We also encourage youth to participate in many aspects of the worship life of the congregation. There are parish-wide events that the youth coordinate. Among those are Crop Walk, Adopt-a-Highway, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Mother’s Day Luncheon, and family adoptions at Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are several ways for your children to become involved in the ministry at Living Springs. The best way for parents to become involved is bring them to church, Sunday school, Youth Group, and support their involvement in any and all of these activities.

Each Sunday after second service, the combined Youth Group, grades 6-12 share a meal that is provided by members or groups in the congregation. A Devotion Team has been created to do a devotion with the youth each Sunday before their meeting. The second Sunday of each month, youth in grades 1 – 5 are invited to join the Youth Group for their meeting as part of a mentoring program. Senior high youth plan and implement a program designed to build relationships between the older teens and younger children. The goal is to get the younger children excited about being involved in the youth ministry program and that they will want to become involved in youth group and take an active role in the congregation. Youth are not the church of the future but members of the church today. The task of the Youth Ministry Program is to “Train and equip the saints for ministry.” Adult volunteers are always needed and welcome.
