Social Inreach Ministry Meeting

April 13, 2009

Members present: Pat Dickerson, Brenda Grohman, Karen Bazemore, Diana Abromaitis, Trish Davidson, Anthony Gutierrez, Judy Lawrence, Becky Sides, Pastor Bob

EVENTS

Saturday April 25 at 6:30 p.m. Adult Scavenger Hunt

Becky & Randy Sides will host. Will ask everyone to bring either appetizer or dessert. Appetizer before the hunt and return for dessert. Bill Franck to coordinate hunt. Pastor Bob will coordinate a special email since we do not have much time to advertise event.

Sunday April 26 after the 10:45 a.m. service we will hold a reception in Lynn Bookert's honor to recognize her during Professional Assistant week.

  • Pat - punch
  • Diana - sandwiches
  • Becky - plates, cups, napkins, vegetable tray

Everyone should email Becky what they will be bringing.

We will set up before the 10:45 a.m. service.

Saturday May 16  Golf Tournament dinner & silent auction

We will start selling tickets the weekend of April 25th. Pastor Bob will check on the status of the tickets.

We will decorate tables with spring flowers and placemats from If It’s Paper. (Spring green and Robin's Egg Blue colors suggested)

Social Inreach will provide a "Spa Basket" for the Silent Auction.

Committee members will provide items for the basket.

  • Becky - basket, champagne flutes, chocolate truffles
  • Pat - soap, candle, champagne
  • Karen - Bath & Body works
  • Brenda - gift certificate of some kind
  • Diana - Pedicure
  • Pastor Bob - Massage gift certificate.

We will bring items to the May meeting for assembly.

Saturday June 20 - Adult Fellowship Horseraces

Turnmires will host

Saturday July 18 - Dinner Groups

Saturday August 15 - Going Away Cookout for Vicar Rick

Saturday September 26 or October 17  Octoberfest

Diana will check on the availability of the facilities at Woodlake.

Sunday November 8th - Family Event

Bonfire, Cookout at the pavilion, singing

Saturday December 5th - Progressive Dinner

OTHER BUSINESS

We reviewed Mission Statement, Purpose, and Basic Responsibilities of the committee and made deletions and changes.

Next meeting: Monday May 11th at 7 p.m.
