Social Inreach Ministry Meeting
Present: Pastor Bob, Lynn Helton, Kris Kenline, Judy Lawrence, Trish Davidson,
Anthony Guitierrez, Becky Sides
June 20th - Horse races at the Turnmires (nothing required from the committee)
July 18th Dinner Groups - Lynn will put sign up sheets in the bulletin one more
time before we divide up groups. Kris, Lynn and Becky will meet at
some time and assign groups for the event.
August 15th at 6p.m. - "Good By Party" for Vicar Rick. Brenda will talk to the
men and see if they will provide the meat and cook. We
will ask people to bring side dishes. We will set up and
provide beverages.
September 26th Oktoberfest at Woodlake - Diana will coordinate. Pastor Bob will
Email her a list of people in the congregation that have a
German background that could give her some ideas about
food.
November 8th Family Event 4 p.m. - 7p.m.at the Pavilion
December 5th Christmas Progressive Dinner. Brenda will check with Pat
Dickerson to see if we can get round tables from BCBS
again this year and she will check with the caterer before
the dates fill up around the holidays.
**There was some interest expressed about having a summer event. Going to Finley Park on a Saturday night for the free concert was discussed. Brenda will check on the schedule.
Anthony suggested that we have a sheet that will be filled out after every Social Inreach event containing the information about number attending, food, décor etc. This will give us valuable information from year to year as we plan events and as new people work on the committee. He will work on putting this form together.
We will not meet in July since Lynn and Kris are handling the plans for the Dinner Groups in July.
Next meeting will be on August 10th.
