Emotional-Mental Wellness Task Force
Living Springs has formed a task force to bring important information on emotional and mental health to our church and community. The team will provide panel discussions and resource sessions, along with developing additional ways to share this valuable information with those who need it.
Fellowship & Mutual Care
Throughout the year, we supported members and families through care meals and visitations during times of illness, recovery, and new births, as well as hosting funeral receptions. We provided fellowship opportunities through events such as a Christmas brunch, senior luncheons, cast parties for the live nativity, and seasonal celebrations. Fundraising efforts, including a Cinco de Mayo–themed auction, raising money to support our scholarship ministry., along with care packages for college students. Our ministries also included sending handmade cards, distributing prayer shawls to those hospitalized, and participating in church-wide events like Adventpalooza and Pentecost.
Good News Team
The church joyfully serves the community in many ways, stepping beyond comfort zones to share the love of Jesus. With the Spirit’s guidance, outreach efforts include Beer & Hymns gatherings, Ashes To Go at multiple locations, and the Rush Hour Ministry, the Live Christmas Nativity, Worship and devotion are made more accessible through livestreamed services and weekly Bible devotions. The Mugging Welcome Ministry warmly welcomes first-time guests with personal visits and gifts. The church looks forward to continuing creative, inclusive outreach and invites participation in upcoming Good News Team events.
Hope Ministry
Living Springs supports the community year-round by providing food, meals, and care through backpack programs, food pantries, hospitals, shelters, schools, seniors, veterans, and families in need, while building strong partnerships, engaging volunteers and students, and hosting events that meet physical needs and strengthen relationships. The annual Fish Fry being one of those events!
Justice Ministry
Living Springs’ Justice Ministry, grounded in Micah 6:8, works with MORE Justice and 25+ faith communities to advocate for mental health care, affordable housing, reduced gun violence, and food security through organized public action that brings measurable, lasting change.
Lifelong Discipleship
The Lifelong Discipleship Ministry nurtures adult faith growth through Bible study, worship practices, generosity, connection, and shared ministries that encourage lifelong spiritual growth and gratitude.
Mission Partner Team
Our mission partnership focuses on Cristo Rey through monthly children’s church visits, shared worship, and bilingual events like the Outdoor Nativity. A major highlight is the joint LS and Cristo Rey youth partnership for the ELCA Youth Gathering and MYLE, supported by shared fundraisers, grants from the Shannon Long Mission Fund, and scholarships from the Legrand-Lowman Fund.
Worship & Music Ministry
The Worship & Music Team meets monthly with joy to support pastors in planning meaningful worship through prayer, music, Word, and sacraments. The team oversees seasonal decorations, coordinates and trains worship volunteers, and helps plan special worship events, strengthening our congregation to shine God’s light together.
Lutheran Men in Mission
Living Springs Men Ministry is active and growing, guided by God’s direction and the Spirit’s power. The men gather monthly for Bible study and fellowship, engage in conference leadership, and serve the wider community through fundraisers, mission support, youth sports ministry, and seasonal outreach. They lead worship, host events, support families in need, and partner in retreats and service projects. Looking ahead, the ministry builds on this momentum with creativity, faith, and eager anticipation for what God is doing next.
Women's Ministry
Living Springs Women's Ministry actively serves and leads across church, community, synod, and state ministries. Women share their gifts through worship leadership, Bible study, service projects, music, quilting, prayer ministries, outreach, retreats, and leadership roles. We participate in state WELCA leadership and gatherings, host a vibrant women’s retreat, and continue to grow in faith, friendship, and service—empowered by God to share Christ’s love with all.
